Highlights from last Saturday’s adventure into Boston. With only one weekend here and being a bit burnt out we were happy to just spend a couple hours driving in and walking around the Boston Common. Stopped for a treat at Starbucks on Beacon street. The old buildings were awesome! The Littles took a run around the playground while John and I watched some college “kids” play some version of tag. We picked up a few AMAZING cookies from the Cookie Monstah food truck near the fountain then walked back to the truck. Along the way we paused to take a photo of Steinway&Sons Piano store going out of business. That was sad to me. Bella our love able flee bag came with and was wiped out from the walk but her being with us kept us from doing too much. We took the long and scenic route back towards Mansfield. Hey we got to see more of the city that way.

Art of Recycle
Art of Recycle in Ephrata PA turned out to be one of the Littles favorite stops. A whole store dedicated to bits and bobs of unused or recycled items rescued for artistic use. Prices all aimed at being extremely reasonable. Yarn and thread leftovers, fabric remnants, wallpaper samples, board game pieces, key rings, picture frames, baskets… The list just goes on and on! I wish to see more stores like this one. http://www.artofrecycle.org. June 1, 2016
Memorial Weekend
Those crazy Littles finally got an item they’d been asking for. We just needed to wait till pools would be open “for the season” in the north. Call them a Memorial weekend gift.
DaVinci Center
A trip up to the DaVinci Center in Allentown PA. Newton Chairs, optical illusions, animal GROSSOLOGY, stop motion filming, and water tables. May 24, 2016
Lancaster, PA
A trip to the Amish Farm in Lancster PA. The Littles were enthralled with the one room school house and loved that they got to make their own Amish jump rope to take home. We also got to see full grown and baby Nigerian Dwarf goats. Now the Littles are excited to have some. The original house predates the country. The farm itself was given to the colony governor in 1715. I find it sad and a bit crazy that Target plopped a store right next to the house. They share a parking lot.
