Stop Seeking Conflict

Keep people divided and arguing about inconsequential differences – teach them to hate – and do you know what will happen? They’ll stay divided and keep arguing.

Variations of skin color. Differences in gender. Place of birth. Earnings. Local sporting teams.

I have an idea – it’s radical, I know, but just maybe the world is ready to embrace it – we can quit seeking conflict and underscoring those differences and instead focus on shared success for people: all of them.

Compassion

“But violence is violence – nobody deserves to be hurt, especially not for an idea.”

“For the most part, people who hurt… they come from hurt. It is a cycle. Let’s say they had killed him or hurt him really bad. How does [his] son feel? Does he carry on the violence?”
