Shotguns as Communications Devices?

Video here… skip to about 55 seconds for the quote: “The LA51 is one of the Coast Guard’s new warning devices for communicating with civilian boaters…”

Just to make sure we all understand the spin, they’re saying that a flak-firing shotgun is a “communications device”.

Ammo Shortage?

Out of curiosity, I went looking for some more 45ACP and saw this over at Traction Control:

That’s price per box (of 20) and quantity on hand. 1001 boxes of Z-Max in 45ACP. In stock. Right now. Sure, it’s a bit more than $1 per cartridge, but is it really that unpopular that it hasn’t all been bought up yet?

223 is, of course, wiped out.
