Hoist the Colors

From one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies – At World’s End, I think.

Hoist the Colors

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will well roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage…
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler’s Green!

The bell has been raised
from it’s watery grave…
Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.

Arr! And it shall be me new theme song!

World’s Smallest Political Quiz

Not sure where your views are on politics? Are you Liberal? Conservative? Something else?  Take the world’s smallest political quiz. It’s only 10 questions. You might be surprised where you land.

Also, regarding the shame with which the Two Party parrots endlessly blast you with (you know, “If you vote for third party, you’re basically throwing your vote away”) – when they say that, what they’re really saying to you is, “Your opinion doesn’t matter as much as mine.”

Bullshit.

Vote your opinion. Not theirs.

Arr!

I’ve always had this crazy idea that I couldn’t get out of my head: Someday obtaining sailboat (maybe a 40 or 45 ft sailing cat) and exploring every island, inlet, harbor, bay, and beach from Border Field to Point Roberts – maybe on to Skagway then back down again.
