Last Monday, I posted some remarks about a personal part of my life.

This morning, a friend of my wife posted this on FaceBook: What NOT to say to someone struggling with infertility. My wife tells me that the author is dead on. And I can say that as a husband and a partner in the process, I share all of their sentiments — and then some.

This afternoon, was the final necessary but uncomfortable medical procedure to resolve our loss from Monday. This, now, marks the end of a thirteen year chapter of our lives.

While we were badly wanting and planning to have another child, life clearly has other plans for our little family just the way it is.
