Lititz, PA

Our trip into Lititz, PA included a stop at the Julius Sturgis Pretzel company where we learned how the hard pretzels started and the Littles got to twist their own dough. Stopped into a candy shop where they got to pick $2 in candy. Followed up by a stop at the Wilbur Chocolate factory where they were making fudge that day. May 19, 2016

A Lancaster Home

I made a stop at Walmart last night and I was again tempted to take in my opinion an ironic photo. I find it funny and interesting to see Amish horse and buggy parking at a Walmart. Every time I go I see at least one parked there. I feel rude taking the photo so I won’t.

I’ll share a few photos from when we visited the Amish House & Farm in Lancaster PA 2 weeks ago. I found this stop weird too because they plopped a Target right next to this old old farmhouse and tourist stop. The Littles made Amish jump ropes which they were thrilled with. They also loved the one room school house.

Life as a Telecommuter

Living in a tiny space has its benefits and its drawbacks. One drawback is that when the weather outside is somewhat cool or rainy or windy, spreading the living/working space to the outdoors becomes more challenging and we find that we’re cooped up in the house.

Sometimes, for days and days (or even weeks) at a time.

Today, it’s finally the perfect temperature outside with no wind and not a chance of rain for days, so I grab my chair and portable desk and set up my telecommuting workstation outdoors…

Then a bloke starts up a leaf blower for an hour…

And another 75 feet away starts up a power washer.

**sigh**
